This is nothing more than an extralayer of 100% silver. It is applied to the 925 sterling silver base. Thisensures that the jewelry will shine longer and be protected against scratches.This extra layer is typically 1 Micron thick. However, a 2 Micron layer can beused. In addition, we often add e-coating over the plating as well.

 

WHAT IS GOLD PLATING? 

This is a layer of gold applied tothe 925 sterling silver base. The thickness of the layers varies. This istypically14ct gold. It adds to the beauty and protection of the jewelrysurface.

 

WHAT IS ROSE GOLD PLATING?

This is also referred to as PinkGold. It is produced from a gold and copper alloy. This is normally broken downto 75% gold and 25% copper. This is 18ct rose gold. Pure rose gold does notexist. It is only produced through a combination of copper and gold.

 

WHAT IS BLACK RUTHENIUM PLATING?

This plating is very hard anddurable. It provides jewelry with a jet-black shine. It provides an appearancethat is much darker than rhodium. It can be used on many different metals. Itis used to make your jewelry scratch resistant.

 

WHAT IS RHODIUM PLATING?

This is often seen in platinumores. It is a silver-white metal. Rhodium is much too hard to be used in itsnatural state. However, when smelting palladium and platinum, it can be aworkable alloy. When applied to jewelry it provides a very bright surface. Itmakes the jewelry durable and beautiful in appearance. It brightens the colorof Cubic Zirconia stones and crystals.

 

WHAT IS ION PLATING?

You will typically find this onstainless steel jewelry. It is one of the most recent plating technologies. Itproduces a harder surface and makes the jewelry brighter than other options.This type of plating is capable of lasting for many decades.
